Tickets for the Caminito del Rey are sold on the official website, caminitodelrey.info, whose content belongs to the Diputación de Málaga: 10 euros for the general ticket and 18 euros for the official guided visit, according to the pages we read on 22 October 2026. The official FAQ warns visitors to buy only from authorised sellers.

What do the official prices cover?

The official guided visit is for groups of up to 30 people, with a guide in Spanish or English, and includes the entrance and the guide. The meeting point is the ticket office at the north access. The official site does not state its duration.
The shuttle is not run by the Caminito. You pay online with your ticket or in cash to the driver, and the ticket allows unlimited trips in both directions on the day. A study for the Diputación, reported by the newspaper El Español in April 2026, mentions a handling fee of 1.50 euros on top of net prices. We could not confirm whether it is added at checkout, so check the total before you pay.
How do I buy official tickets?
On the official site you register, create a personal account, choose the day and the time slot, and can buy up to 10 tickets per purchase. After paying, you must personalise each ticket, and having it on your phone is enough. You can also buy at the ticket office at the north access.
Tickets are personal for private use, and resale is forbidden. They cannot be refunded or changed, except that if the walk is closed for weather you can change the date from your account, subject to availability.
When are tickets released?
Tickets are sold in rounds. A third-party report says 220,000 passes went on sale on 8 April 2026 for visits between 30 June and 6 December 2026, and that on 28 August later dates were not yet on sale. The next release is announced on the official site and its social channels, and we cannot say what is on sale today for December and January.
Plan well ahead. According to the El Español report, over 3.28 million tickets were sold between 2016 and 2025, about 95% of those offered. For ages, the rules are strict: children under 8 are not admitted, and ages 8 to 17 must be with an adult and carry an original ID.
What are the tours sold by Tiqets?
They are guided walks by local operators. Tiqets lists the entrance and a guide as included, and, depending on the product, a shuttle bus, water, a helmet, or transport from Málaga, the Costa del Sol or Seville. At the time of writing the simplest guided tour was around 30 euros, and the day tours with transport cost more because they include a long day out. Live prices and availability are on each card.
Read each product page for the meeting point and what is included. For example, the tour that starts at El Chorro includes a shuttle bus, while the one that meets at El Kiosko does not. Our tickets page lists them all, along with the official prices.
Which option should I choose?
If you are comfortable walking alone, the official ticket is the simplest and cheapest way in. A guided tour makes sense if you want a guide, transport from the coast, or a small Italian-language group. Whichever you pick, check the opening days first, and see how to get there so you arrive at the access 30 minutes before your slot.
Will prices change?
The official prices have been frozen for about ten years. The 2026 study for the Diputación proposes an initial increase of around 20% with the new concession from 2027. It is a proposal, not a decision, so confirm the price on the official site when you book.
